This is a beast of a charcoal grate. Made with 304 grade stainless steel wire so you won't have to worry about rusting issues. This charcoal grate is designed to outlast your kettle. Built with .225" (almost 1/4" diameter) stainless rod this grate is one of the heaviest on the market. 

This is designed to be a charcoal grate and is not designed to be a food grate.
