The vortex plate helps your WSM maintain a constant temperature without wild temperature swings. Made out of 11 gauge plate steel to last for a long time. Sits directly on the top of the stock WSM charcoal ring.

Great device!

I’ve been using this on my kettle charcoal grill and it’s made such a difference in deflecting heat and protecting the bottoms of my proteins. The distance of my grill grate to my charcoal grate is higher than a normal weber kettle grill. But it’s not as much as a WSM. I put the plate on top of my weber charcoal baskets and it helps me utilize my whole 18in grill grate surface. The new added handle is also nice and a great update. Shipping was good and I had no problems with the ordering process as well.

Arrived well packed

Arrived packed in a strong cardboard box and was wrapped in bubble wrap. Saw a difference in temp control the first time I used it.
